Cate Stage Practice

A few quick pics of Cate at Stage Practice in Midvale. All in all a great learning experience for the girls, the first time for most to be on a stage. Cate was not feeling the best having been car sick the whole trip up.

Calistenics Dance Costumes

I am sequining leotards for Calisthenics, it's classed as sewing but quite repetitious and not that exciting. I have 10 Aesthetic costumes that need sequins and beading sewn on to the front and back (the more sparkle the better!!)
Cate is modelling one that is too big, she is the youngest and smallest Sub Junior as she started at 5 not 6 (to compete girls need to be aged 6 - 9 years) so the costume designer is making her a new one as the pre-made ones are too long. The girls are only on stage in them for 3 minutes so they need to impress the costume judge!! (excuse the messy hair)

Ragged Edges

One of three ragged edges that will all be the same, hopefully the recipiants will never know! This one is a perfect lap size for in the car or snuggling under the couch. I think its just a tad to small for much else (no room for two under here!!) I have just enough fabric to add 2 rows each to the other two I have already cut out, this will make them 100 squares (10 x 10) not 81 squares (9 x 9).
Little Cat loves in, snuggling in next to my machine.
This one is for Brigida, just because xx

My Table Runner Recieved

I recieved my EB Table Runner today from the EB Swap, mine was made for me by Milipede from The Tin WhistleA beautiful table runner, using a Drunkards Path template and her own inspiration, it's simply gorgeous. Machine quilted in a circular motion, this table runner is a Quilters work of art! Fabric is Mistletoe Manor by Moda, the colours blend perfectly in our home.Milly also spoilt me by including a Clover mini yoyo maker and a Quilt Magazine.Pic of the backing, a mock strip quilt pattern, it matches the top beautifully and the quilting detail shows through.Even Muffin loves it, thanks again Milly, your such a creative, multi-talented Sewing Mama xx

EB Table Runner Swap Sneak Peak

My Table Runner for the EB swap, kindly organised by AJ. I have used a pattern from my Charmed and Dangerous book titled Crossroads. With a Vienna Nights charm pack by 3 Sisters, this table runner came along nicely and it will be posted off tomorrow to my secret swapee. I hope she likes it! xx

WIP ~ Ragged Edges

I bought 12 half metre lots of this fabric when in Sydney earlier this year. Pickett Fences by Moda, quite an old range but very pretty. All cut up int 6 inch squares, I have enough fabric to make 3 Ragged Edges quilts, each 9 rows of 9, perfect lap sized quilts for the kids teacher's gifts this Christmas.
Gotta love a side on look!
For the backing, a green spot print by Anna Griffin.
Now I just have to trace the lines, cut the wadding, pin together, position, sew, then snip!! And snip and snip and snip!!

Cloth Baby Shoes

I made these Stardust cloth baby shoes today, using some of my Chloe's Closet prints, they are just so adorable!
Sized 0 - 6 months, made from nice and soft cotton with an elasticised heel so they stay put, keeping little toes warm. The sole has a lining of polar fleece for padding, and the elastic can be adjusted.
You can download the pattern here.
