Mug Rug Swap

A little Mug Rug swap, something fun and easy. I made this orange number for Rebecca, I used teflon wadding so its a little crinkly but ideal to protect your table from ultra hot.
And I received this special little number from my long time friend Leah.
Good times, I might make a few more as I am known for spillage.

Happy Easter

My kids love Easter, the chocolate, the hunting, the start of cooler weather and school holidays! I always buy them a Humpty Dumpty Egg and of course the Easter Bunny visits...quite a few times! Cate loves Beanie Babies so when I saw this bunny at the chemist I couldn't resist him. And then I saw mini baby ones we had to have. I bought a plain white basket from spotlight and added the bunny print lining and pompom trim.
I also made some glitter bunnies, one for our table centre piece however it ended up in the garden bed. Pre-made paper mache rabbits, $10 each from Spotlight. I painted with undercoat then used gloss white spray paint and covered in glitter while wet. Finished off with an Easter bow.
Happy Easter from our family to yours xx

Hobby Farmers

We went to the Hobby Farmer's Expo on the weekend. Smile so I can take a photo for Nan I said.
I guess you could say they are looking natural!

Easter Wreath

I have a thing for wreaths, very festive. Someone is embarrassed to have this one hanging on the front door but the kids think it is AWESOME!
Here chicky chicky chicky, love the little albino one.

196 chicks used, I bought them on sale so 24 chicks in a box for $2 but I had some $10 off coupons so cost me less than $5 to make. Tutorial here. I couldn't find a wreath for under $10 so used an old knitting loom covered in yellow felt and glued the chicks feet down.
